Drag
Coco Roux is a drag artist whose work is androgynous, theatrical, satirical, and chock full of pop culture references. They have performed in a variety of cabarets and drag shows including Dark Day Monday, Crème de la Femme, Kings & Classics, House of Kings, as well as Sweet Action Theatre’s Drag King Comedy troupe. They are a recent graduate of Tygr Willy’s It’s All A Drag Program at SKETCH Working Arts and recently did their first Pride performance with PrideTO’s Virtual Bloom Stage. Coco is a member of Tygr Haus.
It’s All A Drag! is a 10 week drag training program I participated in, with workshops led by artists such as Newfound Lad, Halal Bae, and Babia Majora. Program led by Ty Sloane/Tygr Willy. The program was to culminate with a performance originally slated for The Gladstone Hotel but was postponed due to COVID. As well, we had a debut performance at PrideTO’s Bloom Stage (which was held virtually in 2020).
