Clown
My clown Peach was born at the University of Alberta’s DRAM 507 course in May 2015, taught by Jan Henderson and Christine Lesiak. During this three week Advanced Clown intensive we explored Writing for the Clown & Extreme Joey and Auguste. Peach is bright and colourful, and dresses a bit like your grandma mixed with a toddler. She is an avid gardener and loves all things nature and flowers.
One of the turns I created and performed (pictured above) was a ritual in which I chanted and threw berries into the audience into order to help a dandelion magically grow.

In June 2019, I roamed as Peach at Extinction Rebellion Toronto’s 4 Corners Performance Protest at Bay and King, Toronto’s Financial District. I created a roaming piece where I gave out dead flowers and wild flower seed packets to onlookers.
